What I learned in Web design [last entry]

In web design I learned how to make a website in note pad and in Adobe dreamweaver. I also learned how to make banners in Adobe fireworks. I find dreamweaver to be the easiest because you dont have to memorize any codes, in notepad you have to memorize codes. I had fun learning this in web design even though I had some difficulties. I believe technology is the future so what i leaned in this class will help me.

What Language would you use to create your Site? Flash Vs HTML

I think its much easier to design a website using Flash instead of HTML because the layouts come out better and in HTML you have to know a lot of codes and some don't work so you get frustrated. In flash you can create things with your own ideas, you also have tools to help you & in HTML you can't see what your doing util your done. In HTML you have to work harder then Flash. Flash is quicker then HTML which helps a lot when you want to finish fast.

Organization and Web design

Organization is when you have an order in your work, also when you arrange your work in a type of way that's easy for you to work with. In web design it is important to keep your files organized because then you won't loose your work or get confused when doing a project or lab and if you don't organize your work the links that you used won't work.
A line breaks when a file isn't in it's correct place, if the file that you want to work with isn't in it's proper place it won't work and your work will get messed up. The computer only does what you command but if you misplace or do something that's not right it's your fault not the computer's fault.

a. What were your initial goals for the page banner?
My initial goals for the page banner were to show people the main purpose of the page by saying the title which was "My favorite movies." I also wanted to make it look like my style, with the colors.
b. What design concepts and principals did you incorparate into the page banner?
I used the rectangle tool to create the shape & I used effects on the text.

My expectations on web design

My name is Laura Castano, I am a sophomore at Information Technology Highschool. In web design class I expect to learn how to make web pages and learn about the web. I expect my peers to help me whenever I need help in class when th eteacher is busy and Im lost. I expect my teacher to help me when I need help and for her to explain things. My goal in web design class is to learn as much as I can about the web/ internet because I think in the future mostly everything is going to be about technology and maybe from what I know I can sccussed.

What is URL?

A URL (Uniform Resource Locator) is an address of a web page on the world wide web.It locates a specific address you would like to go to. An example of a URL is www.google.com

What is plagiarism

Plagiarism is when you take someone else's idea's, don't credit them and you say it's your own work. It is also known as stealing.
